Editorial messages; from the president of the Sherwin-Williams company to his organization
Walter H. Cottingham used to hold the position of president of the Sherwin-Williams Company. The company has been in business for nearly 125 years, which makes it one of the oldest companies in America with a long history of providing consumers with innovative products. Since its founding in 1879, the company has become ubiquitous throughout the country, selling everything from plumbing fixtures to paint to carpeting. Today, they are known for their innovations in paints and flooring products, but their success stretches way beyond mere physicality. From 1879 to 1937, Walter H. Cottingham served as an editorial writer for "The Chemical Paper" magazine. This was published every Tuesday morning before most high school students were out of class.
