Government Handbooks; Government and Politics of the German Empire
The German Empire had a large portion of its territory under one general, and the Handbooks of the general, Fritz-Konrad Krüger were among the most important reference works on state and military affairs available to German rulers during the period. For this reason, they became very popular with the people who lived in those areas of Europe that received direct rule from Berlin. The Handbooks were written by Fritz-Konrad Krüger who served as a lieutenant in Königsberg's Army and was responsible for drafting and translating them into English for publication. Krüger is one such historian who argues that without the support of the German Empire, Hitler could never have emerged victorious. His book explains Germany's role in World War I and describes some of its consequences for Germany today.
