Shota Rustaveli is a great Georgian poet, who lived in the XII-XIII centuries during the reign of Queen Tamara. He is the author of the epic poem "The Knight in Tiger Skin", which is the only work by Rustaveli that has reached our days. The poem has been translated into various languages. The plot is based on the story of the outstanding and noble warrior who is rescuing a heartbroken man. The help he received from the warrior pushes him to find the meaning of life and go after the woman he loves after many years of being separated. The poem is permeated with explicit and implicit gospel quotations and filled with mystical insights sent to humanity through a brilliant poet of the twelfth century.
