King Henry Beauclerc and Reading Abbey

Jamieson B. Hurry's Henry and the Abbey is a historical fiction set in 12th-century England. The story of King Henry Beauclerc and Reading Abbey is a wonderful one. The king, while on a pilgrimage to the Abbey, met up with a poor man who was so sick he could hardly stand. The king ordered his servants to help the man, but they refused because they had no idea who he was. The king then took off his cloak and threw it over the man's shoulders. And so, in repayment for this act of charity, Kiehl's has named this cream in honor of King Henry Beauclerc and Reading Abbey. In this novel, Jamieson B. Hurry has created a world where history meets romance.
