The Mystery of the Locks by E. W. Howe is a classic tale about a lost key that winds its way through unlikely and unlikely places. The story follows the discovery of a key, which is found in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 25th of 1885. The key was originally thought to be a fake, but after further study it was determined that it was indeed real. In the years since its discovery, over 100 people have traveled to the Boston site (the Old South Meeting House) to see if they could find their missing keys among the audience's locks; however, no one has been able to prove definitively if they are actually there or not.
